Due to its unique properties, algae raises various questions: for example, what relationship we have to the sea and the species living in it, or how we deal with the processes of aging and change in materials, such as the gradual color change of algae as it dries. The exhibition WEtransFORM at the Bundeskunsthalle featured the walk-in pavilion Hidaka Ohmu, which consists of a rattan framework covered with algae.
