Map/ing Sustainability
In order to foster a productive exchange between art, culture, and design and the other disciplines represented in the network, we developed a joint interdisciplinary toolkit.
At the forefront is Map/ing Sustainability – a method that opens up trans- and interdisciplinary spaces for discourse, where products, business models, infrastructures, performances, or artworks can be analyzed in dialogue with one another in terms of their sustainability impacts. Furthermore, the toolkit is furnished with proven methods that concentrate on specific aspects of these sustainability impacts.
The methods toolkit is intended to facilitate a systemic perspective on sustainability and to help foster a shared sustainable design literacy.
Sustainability On All Levels: The Sustainable Development Goals
The impact potential analysis performed by Map/ing Sustainability is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are not treated separately but in relation to one another. The International Resource Panel’s three-level model serves as the framework for this analysis.
