creative.nrw is the network for creative professionals in North Rhine-Westphalia. On behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, we showcase, connect, and empower the players in the creative industries in NRW. Through a wide range of programs and initiatives, we support creatives across all eleven sub-sectors in realizing their full potential.

creative.nrw is a partner in the transform.NRW project because the cultural and creative industries play a central role in social, cultural, and sustainable transformation processes. Art, culture, and design have the potential to break down existing structures, open up new perspectives, and develop innovative approaches that promote social and ecological change. As part of this collaboration, creative.nrw provides entry points to its NRW-wide network of creative professionals across all disciplines. In this way, they help integrate creative expertise, methods, and practical examples into the digital hub to strengthen interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration between culture, academia, business, politics, and society.

Sustainability at creative.nrw

Through the creative.projects competition, creative.nrw supports creative industry projects that have an environmental, social, and/or economic impact and, ideally, add value to other sectors. The winners receive prize money and one year of support from a mentor. In this way, creative.nrw specifically promotes creative and innovative ideas that contribute to the socio-ecological transformation of the economy and society.
