Through the Circular.Culture, Zukunftsbühne, and Urban Wilderness projects, Neue Effizienz supports cultural actors in North Rhine-Westphalia in their transition toward a resource-efficient and greener future. These projects focus on creating infrastructure for a circular economy in the cultural sector by establishing a materials management system in North Rhine-Westphalia, promoting sustainable process innovation in scenography using 3D technologies, digital modeling, and innovative manufacturing processes, and the collaborative greening of the Pina Bausch Center in Wuppertal. Through all these projects, we demonstrate that we work at the intersection of science and culture to advance sustainability. In this way, we bring together different fields to strengthen knowledge of transformation within the cultural scene. After all, by working together, we can combine our diverse expertise and make progress as a team. We are thrilled to be part of transform.NRW!

Sustainability at Neue Effizienz

As an institution dedicated to research and knowledge transfer for transformation processes, sustainability is our core mission. That is why we work with our partners from academia, business, civil society, culture, and local governments to initiate and design projects that implement sustainable transformation in a holistic and collaborative manner. We also reflect on our own actions in an annual sustainability report. Our expertise lies in the areas of the energy and mobility transitions, the circular economy, and capacity building.
