I can be your translator

I can be your translator is an inclusive collective focusing on performance, theater, and experimental music. In their work, they explore I can be your translator using methods of egalitarian artistic production and exploring how hierarchies can be dismantled in the cultural sector—for example, by eliminating the traditional role of director or by incorporating the personal and collective experiences and emotions of all members into the development of new plays. The collective presents its productions, such as Hooray, Romeo and Juliet! – I deleted the scene with the corpse in 2024, in theaters and at festivals across Germany.
